Meatballs, anyone? This Sunday, the American Swedish Historical Museum is holding a meatball-making contest! For just $6, you can be a taste-tester and vote for your favorites! The event goes from 4-6 PM. To get there, take the R-100 to 69th Street, and then the Market-Frankford Line to 15th Street. Next, walk a short distance to City Hall Station, and take the Broad Street subway to AT&T Station. From there, the museum is less than a 10-minute walk. Attention Theater Fans!

Like Broadway musicals? Then you’ll love seeing “Next to Normal”, playing through November 4th at the Arden Theater! This show won a Pulitzer Prize and is well-known among musical theater aficianados, so come prepared for a great performance. Clarinetist, Composer, Average Human Being?

Attend Ardmore’s First Friday : Howl O’ Ween

The day after Bryn Mawr’s Pets on the Green (on October 4th from 3-5 pm) come to the Main Line’s First Friday Celebration , Howl O’Ween. Local residents will dress their dogs up in Halloween costumes. The event is FREE. Restaurants in the Main Line area will also have special menus on October 5th.

Take Advantage of Your One Card!

You only have it for four years! Use it to get student rush tickets to Philadelphia Ballet (along to some other places). There’s a steep discount when you pull out your one card. Philadelphia is renown for its arts, so go out and explore. The show “Giselle” will be playing during Fall Break, for those of you who will be on campus. College Day Pep Rally!

On Thursday September 27th there will be college day pep rally starting at 11:30 a.m in Center City’s LOVE park (15th and JFK Boulevard). Wear Bryn Mawr’s school colors , wear Bryn Mawr clothing, or dress up as an owl to show your school spirit! There will be giveaways and live music. College Day on the Parkway is on Saturday September 29th as well (free admission to museums!).
