Philadelphia Museum- National Museum of Jewish American History

After a long first week of classes, does some museum exploring seem quite appealing? Visit the National Museum of Jewish American History! In addition to providing historical items for you to browse through, the museum features some pretty cool people (Albert Einstein, anyone? How about Barbra Streisand?). It is easy to get lost in the exhibitions that are very user friendly in the spread out and airy museum. The architecture of the museum itself is phenomenal and lends to the atmosphere. Another bonus? Located right next to Independence Hall, the museum is very accessible. This is perfect for anyone who isn’t too adventurous with SEPTA, but is looking for something new to see. Note the details below:

Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 10:00-5:00, Saturday & Sunday, 10:00-5:30

Cost: $11 for ages 13-21 (worth it!)

Take SEPTA Regional Rail towards Center City. Get off at Market East Station. Exit the station onto Filbert Street. Walk East on Filbert. Take a right on 9th Street and a left on Market Street. Continue on Market until you get to 5th Street. The walking part of this trip should take about ten minutes.

Still not sure if this sounds like something you’re interested in? Follow this link to the museum’s website to check it out for yourself!
